Kids 7-11 Grading system of training

Dear Students:

# Always Practise safely as instructed, in the training Hall & at Home

.  The following is the Grading & Level training you will be doing in this Academy

 

* Hung Gar for Kids (7-11 yo).  WarmUps & PowerBuilding Regime

 

1.  Salute:  The Art, Sifu & Instructor.  (Claw next to Fist)  # Practise safely with Instructor

 

2.  The 3 Positive Affirmation Verses, with Breathing: (10xs)

 

 

a. In Horse stance:     (Working Legs Bounce up & down)

 

I feel good and I feel strong, and God loves me.  “HAA”

 

     b. In Solar stance:      (Working Ankles & Balance – stand on Toes)

 

I am not Shy or Scared, I am Confident and my Parents Love Me.  HOO

 

 

 

     c. In Crane stance:     (Working on Stability Hold ball between knees/toes in)

 

I think Good and I do Good, because I am Happy & Smart.  “WOW”

 

 

 

3.  Stretch the Whole Body:

 

 

–    Use the 3- Windmill Moves & Their Applications:   (Do 10 sets per skill)

 

     1. Upward Circles – Duel & Single-          Use rubber stick to practice their self defence

     4.  Swing Shield- Arms at sides bent, turn only the waist.  Left to right.  (50xs)

 

 

 

4.  Stretch Legs:  a. Bend; Paint the Floor & Shoes,  b. Spread legs; Front & Sideways. (10xs)

 

 

 

5.  Palm to Knee Slap:  (40xs- Medium,  50xs- Fast,  10xs-Slow).

 

 

 

6.  Power- Walk with Weights: Carry according to ability:  (50 steps each sets)

 

   

 

    1. Front,   2. Sides,   3. Front,   4. Above Head,   5. Down Sides,   6. Front.

 

 

 

7.  Speed – Punching:  a. Head,  b. Uppercut,  c. Sides,  d. Down.  e. Pearl from shell. (30 sets)

 

 

8.  Pole Drop & Swing, for Leg speed reflexes:  a. jump over pole,  b. Run under pole drop

 

 

 

9.   Strength Training

 

     1. Catapult,   2. Iron Fists,   3. Frog Jumps,   4. Kangaroo Hops,   5. Sleeping Dragon.

 

 

 

10.  Iron Arms Training:  Arm on Arm  for Beginners  /  3x block set for Level 2+  (100 xs)

11.  Grade – Level Training: 

 

       a. Learn new skills as assessed by instructor, at every Grading session, every quarter.

 

b. Practise skills learnt: 50 xs per skill, per side, per lesson.

 

 

 

12.  Pass the Power Ball in a circle Or Down the line. 

 

 

 

13.  Do the Positive Affirmation verse, with hand signs:  (10xs)

 

 

“I do Kung Fu to be:  Happy,  Healthy,  Smart,  Strong  and  Protect Myself”.

 

 

 

14.  Salute the Art & Sifu / Instructor at end of each lesson:

 

Step, Step – Claw & Fist,  Step back, step back and roll in fists.

 

 

 

 

 

Kids – Stage 1, * #  White Sash Grade:  (8-12 months course @ 3x a week training)

Level 1 – Certificate:   * (2x months course duration)

 

 

 

1.  Ball Play: Throw & Catch tennis ball at 3x meters.  (Large ball for small 7yo kids 30xs)

 

 

 

2.  How to deal with Bullies and answer them:(In both case, report this Immediately)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 

 

a.  If touched – Lift your hand and Say “Stop” – You have no right to touch me. “Stop”.

 

 

b.  If Rude & Silly words said to you –  Say “Stop” This is rude & I am not listening!

 

 

 

     c. If Being Bullied? Seeking Help from: Friends, Teachers, Parents, Police.

 

 

 

     d. Clothes Pulled:  Put your arms on the outside of their elbow, Twist sideways & push.

 

 

 

     e. Body Grab from behind:  Stamp toes, bring arms up, Turn to elbow sides, hit groin, head

 

 

 

f. Body grab from front:  Head but, Poke thumbs into sides, Push, kick groin.

 

 

 

     g. Body Push:  Grab their arms and kick groin. Or Roll arms in a circle & push them away

Level 2 Certificate:   * (2x months course duration)

 

 

 

1.  Ball Play – Throw & Catch:  at 1x meters.  (50xs in 50 sec. )   Soccer ball for young kids.

 

 

 

2.  Learn The 3- Punch Set:   (*30xs-20 sec. / 30xs-15 sec. on pad)

 

 

1. Middle Punch,   2. High Punch,   3. Low Punch.

 

 

 

3.  Do the 3- Punch Set in sequence in static and Moving.  (*30xs-30 sec. / 30xs-20 sec.)

Level 3 – Certificate:   * (2x months course duration)

 

 

 

1.  Ball Play – Vertical bounce:  Do with each hand:  50xs in 30 sec. without stopping.

 

 

 

2.  Learn The 3- Block Set:  (*30xs-20 sec.  /  30xs-15 sec. On Arms & On W/Dummy)

 

 

1. Middle,   2. High,   3. Low.

 

 

 

3.  Combine The 3- Punch & 3- Block sets in Static & Moving:  Do with partner for 100 sets.

Level 4 – White Sash Grade:   * (2x months course duration)

 

 

 

1.  Ball Play – V Bounce:  – 50xs in 45 sec. without dropping ball.  Bounce to waist high.

 

 

 

2.  Learn The 3- Kick Set:   (*30-20 sec.  /  30-15 sec. On kicking bag)

 

    

 

     1. Groin,   2. Back,   3. Middle:

 

 

 

3.  Apply the 3- kicks with their Blocks.  (*30-45 sec. / 30-35 sec.)

1.  Ball Play technique:

 

1. Throw straight & Catch in the Crane stance.  Do 50 xs in 40 sec.

 

 

2. Vertical Bounce, in Horse stance: *40xs in 30sec.  /  50xs in 25 seconds per side.

 

 

 

3. V-Bounce, in Bow & Arrow stance:  *50xs in 50sec.  /  50xs in 35 sec.

1. Block/Punch Combination Sets:  (50 sets – Do each skill successfully)

 

 

 

    1.  Top Punch Set:  Top block,  Kick Groin, Mid. punch,  Double punch to the Head.

 

 

    2.  Middle Punch Set:  Mid. block,  Kick knee, Top punch,  Mid. punch,  Top punch.

 

 

 

    3.  Low Strike Set:  Block leg- Punch side of knee, Block/Punch top,  Mid.,  Top Punch.

1.  Rolling Chair technique & Applications for:    (Do 10 – 50 sets)

 

 

 

1. Push:   Block-Roll/ Push with palms,

 

 

 

2. Punch: Block-Roll, Grab, Side twist & take down.

 

 

 

3. Hand locks/ breaksa. Against fingers: Palm to sky & earth, push sideways.

 

b. Against thumb,  Use praying palm, push forwards

 

c. Use elbow and both hands to break locks and strike face

 

 

 

2.  Learn the Hand & Body Locks & Break Techniques:  (10xs per lock / break)

 

 

1.  Hand locks: Spin palm in or out to release – Grab hand to lock arm / seize opponent

 

 

 

2.  Head locks: Push elbow out, move back, grip wrist, slip through hold, lock arm to back

 

 

 

  1. Body hold: Bend/twist, Elbow ribs, strike groin, elbow neck, Turn to kick groin.

Level 4 – Brown Sash Level:   * (2x months course duration)

 

 

 

1. Learn this Academy’s Salute Art Set & Applications: (50 sets + learn each skill)

 

    1. Learn 3- move and their Applications,

 

   

 

    2. Repeat each technique 100xs, for each side,

 

  

 

    3. Perform each move in the Self defence mode.

 

   

 

    4. Perform the whole form with: Flow, Speed and Power.  (Use weights on wrists

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kids – Stage 3,  # – Green Sash Grade:              (8-12 months course @ 3x a week) .

1.  Top punch                       – Smash the Coconut.

 

 

 

2.  Uppercut punch:            – Lift up the Moon.

 

 

 

3.  Side Swing punch          Move the Bolder.

 

 

 

4.  Down Low back fist       – Block the flying Leg/log

 

 

 

5.  High Side back fist         – Break the chains of : Fear, Anxiety & Negativity that hold me.

 

 

 

6.  Front Rack down fist     – Clear the way

 

 

 

7.  Sidewards Fist smash     – Smash the wall

 

 

 

8.  Down front Fist smash   – Smash the rock that hold me

 

 

 

9.  Back Fist to the back      – Smash the back door of the past.

 

 

 

10. Front Spinning punch  – Open the front door to the future

Level 2 – Certificate:   * (4x months course duration)

 

 

 

1. Learn the 12-Block set:  (Apply the 10 Punch set, both sides, in *14 / 10 sec.)

6. Down/Chop,   7. Palm lift,   8. Low forwards drop,  9. Elbow Block/Strike,

 

10. Front Praying Palm.

 

 

 

2.  Apply the 10-Blocks on the wooden dummy: use Angles & Flow.  (*50 / 100 sets)

 

 

3Spar with the 10-Punch set against the special 10-Block set: with a partner.  (*10/ 30 sets)

Level 3- Green Sash Level:   * (4x months course duration)

 

 

 

1.  Learn the 10-Kick Set:  (Kick the Leg Bag, 30xs per kick) + (Do 10 kick in 10 sec. P/K)

 

 

1. Groin,   2. Back,   3. Front,   4. Low-Back,

 

 

5. Low-Front,   6. Side,   7. Leg kick,   8. Knee Block to front / kick centre,

 

 

9. Chin kick,   10. Head kick.

 

 

2.  Learn the Blocks for each kick:

 

 

 

1. Block/Kick  for all the 12 kick set:  Do 50 xs per leg.

 

 

2. Apply each Block/kick set in the Self Defence mode.
